We use drums and other music instruments sprites, add the sound, and then make them do whatever you want to do. I didn't exactly follow the tutorial (though we were supposed to follow the tutorial and then experiment later). I was kind of caught up in coding the melody for "Closer" by the Chainsmokers. It's probably because I've been spending my one and only free block in the second semester practicing playing the drums; and the first song I wanted to play is "Closer" (because the rhythm is quite simple and the song is currently 'da trend.'). In the end I ended up creating a little "interactive" 'thingy' (can't really call it a game because it's not..?) Anyway, here is the project or you can download the file below.
The objective is for players to use the space bar (bass drum) and arrow up (snare drum) to create beats that would go with the messy melody I've coded (apologies for the missing notes and out of rhythm melody-- I'm still trying to figure out how many seconds I should give each beat and each rest).
